Nina

For Nina, as long as she can remember, she wanted to be a tattoo artist. Starting her apprenticeship in Carlisle after relocating from West Cumbria, Nina has been tattooing for little over 2 years, joining the As Above So Below family in 2025! 

 

Nina favors the Darker side of artwork, Specializing in Dark Ornamental, Dark Gothic and Cyber Sigilism, but is generally open to many different styles - the more Macabre - the better!

Finding inspiration in things such as Witchcraft, folklore, trinkets and oddities, Nina designs each tattoo with her own specific dark spin, creating some of the incredible works you see below.

When designing a tattoo, Nina is open to references from the client, but also enjoys leaning into photographs she’s taken, trinkets and oddities she’s collected over the years. Generally, Nina prefers to do her designs the night before the booking, which allows her to make changes to the design on the day if needed.

When asked what she loves about tattooing, in her own words, "I love the way it allows me to create on a daily basis. My world has revolved around art always, with such a passion to draw and create, tattooing lets me express that freely. Being around other amazing artists and the world of art / tattoo culture always keeps me inspired and striving to develop and grow myself."
